Bradd Rubman - Founder/President
A few years after graduating from Bentley College with a Bachelors of Science in accounting, Bradd established Appletree Bay Property Management. Today Bradd serves as the active President of the company. Bradd enjoys the challenges of day-to-day property management as well as the responsibilities of working on longer term projects to ensure that Appletree Bay continues to flourish in the future. Patrick Bradley - Director of Property Management
Patrick has been with Appletree Bay Property Management since 2003, where he started as a Property Manager of Homeowners Associations. Patrick began management of Appletree Bay Property Management’s rental division in 2004 while continuing to manage several Homeowners Associations. Patrick continued in this capacity until being promoted in 2009 to Director of Property Management. Today, Patrick continues to manage Homeowners Associations, oversees the rental division and works to secure new accounts, while handling the day-to-day operations of Appletree Bay Property Management. Dena Prim - Accounting/Property Manager
Dena has been with Appletree Bay Property Management since 1997. Prior to joining Appletree Bay Property Management, Dena worked with Snyder Companies and H&R Block. Dena is a graduate of Trinity College with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Business Administration and served in the Vermont Air Guard as an avionics and flight technician. Claudia Shapiro - Property Manager
Claudia Shapiro brings to Appletree Bay a vast career in Real Estate which began in 1986. Claudia has worked for premier 3rd party management companies as a Portfolio Manager. Not only has Claudia managed some of the of the finest condominium and coop addresses in NYC, but her career has allowed her to manage Class A luxury rental properties on the Gold Coast in NJ, luxury lease-ups in Westchester County and managed the military privatized housing at Fort Hamilton. Claudia has lived in VT on and off since 1980 and decided to make it permanent in 2014. Claudia enjoys entertaining her out of town guests on the weekends, anything to do with winter outdoors and world travel to name a few. Next stop the Fjords in Norway…
Julie Taylor - Property Manager
Julie joined Appletree Bay Property Management in February of 2016. Julie brings to Appletree Bay Property Management 26 years of Customer Service experience with 9 of those years as a Customer Service Manager for USAirways/American Airlines. Julie brings enthusiasm to our work force and a passion for people, organizational skill, and a strong management approach to our team. Julie enjoys meeting new people and travelling to various parts of the United States and abroad.
Anne Borchers – Property Manager
Anne joined the Appletree Bay team in October of 2015. She brings with her over 25 years of customer service and marketing experience. Anne began her Property Management career in the low income housing sector in an administrative capacity working her way up to Property Manager within a year. She has managed both residential and commercial properties in Vermont. Her professional career started as a marketing coordinator for a local restaurant group and eventually become the first female Executive Director of the Ethan Allen Club in 2006. Anne grew up in upstate NY on the Canadian border and went to SUNY Plattsburgh where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. She lives in Milton, VT with her husband Charles and daughter Corinne. In 2009 she became a living organ donor by donating a kidney to a family member. Kate Kinney – Accounting/Administrative Assistant
Kate joined Appletree Bay in January of 2018. She brings a variety of accounting and administrative experience. Having owned her own accounting business for 13 years, Kate worked with a wide variety of businesses in both retail and the service professions – including construction, beauty shops, restaurants and non-profits, among others. She has worked with accounting, human resources and administrative assisting. Kate has 2 globe-trotting grown children and she currently lives in North Hero with her partner of 11 years, plus 3 dogs, 2 horses and 2 miniature donkeys.
Kijuan Fryar - Administrative Assistant
Kijuan moved to Burlington from Brooklyn, NYC in 2015 and joined the Appletree Bay team in March 2018. He received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from SUNY Plattsburgh and was trained in security forces in the U.S. Airforce before starting his professional career as a Media buyer in NYC. After a few years, Kijuan left Media and created a successful career in hospitality management with W hotels, The London NYC and Hilton Worldwide. In his free times Kijuan enjoys playing basketball, watching sports, traveling and socializing with friends.
Franklin Mendiola - Rental Property Manager
The original dual-threat property manager, Franklin is as smart as he is handsome. But don’t let his devilishly good looks fool you, Franklin is the ultimate jack-of-all-trades. You need your rental property managed? Check. You need someone to tell your neighbor to stop playing the drums at 2:37am? Check. You need someone to press the reset button on the bottom of your garbage disposal? Check. You need someone to unclog your toilet? He’ll get someone out within a couple hours. Franklin started his property management career after 27 credit-hours of college and a stint in the Coast Guard where he saved people from themselves. He brings over 14 years and 1 month of rental management experience at properties ranging from 50 to 2,200 units, and can confidently say he has truly seen and heard it all.
